Kalymnos has been great, and we will definitively try to return given the opportunity. During our time here, we've had amazing Greek food, climbed on great limestone routes with amazing views of the Aegean Sea, and watched near perfect sunsets every night. It has been a truly amazing vacation.
Tomorrow we're flying back to Athens, where we'll spend two days sight seeing. We're excited to see more of Athens this time and really get to see some of the famous attractions like the Parthenon . We've booked reservations at a fancy restaurant as well for tomorrow night called the Filistron which has a spectacular roof terrace with excellent views of the Acropolis and the Parthenon. Well it sounds like you have done it again. The only person I know of who seems to have had more exotic trips was Mark Twain. He said- “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” I am sure you would agree.
ReplyDeleteI guess I should take Mom to Ziziki's new Greek restaurant to celebrate your trip. You are the second Blackford I know to visit Greece. The other being your cousin Bob Blackford from Orlando.
My last long run (26-27) is Saturday. It has finally cooled off so perhaps this one will not be so tough.
Enjoy looking at all the CaSo3(marble)
Dad
You guys have just out done yourselves! It all sounds perfect. Hopefully, the last couple of days will be the same.
ReplyDeleteLove, Mommie Alice, etc.
P.S. You are missing the Greek Festival here in Atlanta but there is always next year.
